Apple goes to Gangnam in Style

Earlier this week, Apple announced the opening of a brand-new Apple Store in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea – not too far away from ‘Samsung Town’.

Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior VP of Retail and People, made the announcement of the new store in a short Instagram reel. The video shows a gorgeous animation, and the opening date of 31 March 2023. Apple Gangnam is set to be the fifth Apple Store in South Korea since Apple started opening South Korean stores in 2018, also in Seoul.

The store is opening near the Shinnonhyeon Station in the south of Seoul, which is very close to Samsung Group offices. The Gangnam store will join over 500 other Apple Stores around the world, with over 270 of them being in the US, giving another destination for customers for help with their Apple products, support and Today at Apple sessions.

Apple Gangnam is a dynamic and vibrant new space in the world-famous district of Seoul, and our team can’t wait to greet customers on March 31.”

This announcement also brings a brand new wallpaper that you can download from Apple’s website to celebrate the opening of the new South Korean store. Apple Gangnam is expected to be open from 5 PM until 11 PM on the March 31 opening day, with regular opening hours of 10 AM to 10 PM.
