Apple today has announced that it will open its first two Apple Store locations to the public in India on April 18 in Mumbai and April 20 in Delhi, respectively. The flagship location in Mumbai will be named Apple BKC, while the other Delhi-based location will be named Apple Saket.
In addition to the ability to explore and purchase Apple’s latest products, customers will be able to book Genius Bar tech support appointments, get expert opinions from Specialists, attend Today at Apple sessions, and more.
In celebration, Apple BKC will be hosting special “Mumbai Rising” Today at Apple sessions from opening day till summer, celebrating “the local community and culture in Mumbai”. Apple has also released a custom set of wallpapers for each of its new stores, as well as Apple Music playlists to “move to the sound of Mumbai and Delhi“.

Apple’s online store has been operative in India since September 2020, with the company relying on third-party authorized resellers for its physical presence in the country. Apple CEO Tim Cook is widely expected to inaugurate Apple BKC opening in addition to meeting India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
