iPhones could be getting larger and even more challenging to hold.

Quick Hits
  • iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays
  • Thinner bezels coupled with a larger overall footprint could enable the change in screen size
  • iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature typical 6.1 and 6.7-inch displays

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models will allegedly feature notably larger displays, according to resident display analyst and Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) CEO Ross Young via an exclusive report from MacRumors.

Young specifies that Apple plans to debut the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max in 2024 with larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays. According to the report, the entry-level iPhone 16 and the midrange iPhone 16 Plus will also feature the same 6.1 and 6.7-inch display sizes typical of today’s iPhone models.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could adopt a larger screen size due to radically thin bezels, increased physical size, or both. Apple currently sells the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in 6.1 and 6.7-inch display sizes meaning the new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models could be the largest iPhones yet. The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are still expected to debut later this year in the same size configurations as the current iPhone 14 Pro lineup.
