Users will be able to discover live music better than ever

Apple today announced the introduction of new features on Apple Music and Apple Maps that makes it easier for users to discover new live shows and concerts held near them. The concerts discovery and curation tools make it easier for users to connect with their favorite artists.

Apple Maps now has over 40 new Guides in more than 10 global cities featuring leading live music venues around the world. Apple Music Guides will allow users to navigate immeninent live shows directly from Maps using a framework developed by Shazam and Bandsintown.

The new Set Lists feature on Apple Music allows users to navigate their favorite artists’ upcoming shows, with the ability to filter them based on a specific location. The feature also provides curated playlists allowing users to listen to set lists and “read about the productions.”

Apple Music Guides and Set Lists will be rolling out beginning today. Featured cities include Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, San Francisco, Berlin, London, Paris, Vienna, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, and Mexico City.
