Identify the Feature
Widget stacks are a feature introduced in iOS 14 that allows you to stack multiple widgets of the same size on your Home screen and swipe through them. Widget stacks are a great way to organize your Home screen and access relevant information without cluttering it up. Your friends at Supercharged got you covered with this tutorial.
The Steps to Create a Widget Stack
- Unlock your iPhone and go to the Home Screen.
- Press and hold on to an empty area of the Home Screen until the apps start jiggling.
- Tap the “+” icon in the screen’s top-left corner to enter the widget gallery.
4. In the widget gallery, scroll through the available widgets or use the search bar at the top to find specific ones.
5. select the first widget to add to your widget stack.
6. Drag the widget onto your Home Screen and position it in the desired location.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 to add more widgets to the Home Screen and drag one widget on top of another to create a stack. You’ll notice a small gray bar between the widgets indicating they are now in a stack.
8. Release the widget to create the stack.
9. If you want to rearrange the order of the widgets within the stack, tap and hold on the Home Screen until the apps start jiggling, then tap on the widget stack, tap the “Edit Stack” option, and rearrange the widgets, or even turn on —or off— the Smart Rotate and Widget Suggestions options.
