The iPhone 15 lineup will begin mass production next month amid no significant production delays or bottlenecks for the upcoming iPhone series, Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu said today in an investors note seen by Supercharged.
In the note, Pu outlined his major expectations for the upcoming iPhone lineup, reaffirming features and changes leaked throughout the year. Pu expects the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to feature titanium frames, Sony’s content image stabilization sensor, and a periscope lens on the high-end iPhone 15 Pro Max model.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to gain Dynamic Island, first introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro models last year. The iPhone 15 launch cycle has been dubbed a “mini super cycle” by some analysts as a large portion of the iPhone user base has not upgraded their iPhones in the last four or so years. Pu today said he now expects 84 million iPhone 15 units for the 2nd half of 2023 compared to previous estimates of 75 million.

Alongside the new features, Pu says the iPhone 15 Pro Max is likely to be priced higher due to the titanium frame and periscope lens. Other than the titanium frame and upgraded camera technologies, the iPhone 15 lineup will feature USB-C and thinner bezels allowing for more active screen area.
