Apple is touting the security and privacy of the iPhone, iPad, and Mac in a new section on its website that launched this week targeting enterprise customers looking to use the company’s products in their workforces.
“Secure by design,” Apple proudly states on the new page before stating some of the features and technologies built into its products and services that make them safe and secure. “Apple hardware and software are designed together for maximum security,” the company says, pointing out features like Touch ID and Face ID, the Secure Enclave in Apple silicon chips, Find My, and frequent automatic security updates.
To protect against malware, ill-intended apps, and viruses on the Mac, Apple highlights Gatekeeper, which safeguards the Mac from “malicious software.” Other features like iCloud Passwords, Passkeys, and built-in protections in Safari protect users from common security risks in both apps and on the web.

Other security pillars, such as end-to-end encryption for iMessage, FileVault on Mac, and modern networking standards built into the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, offers peace of mind that a user’s most personal data remains safe, even if “they fall into the wrong hands,” Apple says.
On the page, Apple is also touting other enterprise-focused features for its devices, including device management for businesses, robust VPN support, state-of-the-art security and IT solutions, and Mobile Device Management software. For non-enterprise customers, Apple has another privacy page more targeted to the everyday protections built into iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch and their respective operating systems that protect users and their data.
