Apple today released iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 (Build Number: 20G75) to the public nearly a week after seeding its Release Candidate on Tuesday, July 18. iOS 16.6 also comes nearly a month after Apple released iOS 16.5 to the public
iOS 16.6 is widely expected to be the last version of iOS 16 as Apple ramps up the testing process of iOS 17, the next major software release for iPhone which the company previewed last month at WWDC 2023. A new fourth beta of iOS 17 and major software releases for other Apple products are expected soon.
Users who wish to download the new update to iOS 16 can do so by heading to Settings > General > Software Update. Apple also released the following updates to other software platforms:
- macOS Ventura 13.5
- watchOS 9.6
- tvOS 16.6
