The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to introduce titanium for the first time ever as a chassis material for the iPhone. To complement this change of materials, Apple is expected to introduce two new colors to its premium iPhone models, according to sources who spoke to 9to5Mac.
The publication has heard that Apple plans to introduce a new dark blue finish similar to what MacRumors reported earlier in July. The new deep blue color will reportedly be the flagship color of the iPhone 15 Pro, much like Deep Purple, Sierra Blue, and Pacific Blue with prior Pro iPhone generations.
The second color that Apple plans to introduce will reportedly resemble a gray finish that “embraces the natural color of titanium,” adds 9to5Mac. The offered description sounds similar to the Natural finish that comes as the only color option for the Apple Watch Ultra. In the process, Apple will apparently stop offering gold as an option for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, a finish that first made an appearance with the aluminium-built iPhone 5s in 2013 and once again on stainless steel with the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max in 2018.

Prolific X leaker Majin Bu has additionally provided leaked images of what appears to be USB-C connectors for the iPhone 15 Pro. According to Bu, the connectors in question showcase the iPhone 15 Pro’s grey and space black finishes.
9to5Mac is also backtracking its claims of a maroon-like red finish for the iPhone 15 Pro, a claim it made earlier in February. As things stand, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro should be offered in space black, silver, grey, and deep blue. In addition, today’s report seemingly also confirms color options headed for the base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, which were recently reported to be offered in midnight, green, yellow, blue, and pink.
