Apple Store and third-party data for the average wait times for the iPhone 15 lineup indicate that Apple is slowly catching up with demand for its latest iPhones, with wait times for specific models significantly shorter now than a week ago.
The data, aggregated by Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu in a note seen by Supercharged, compares wait times for specific colors and storage configurations of the iPhone 15 lineup as of September 18 and September 25 in the United States and Mainland China. We’ve broken down the findings below with interactive images.
Improvements in the United States

As of September 25, specific iPhone 15 Pro models were shown as available and in stock through T-Mobile, such as the iPhone 15 Pro in Blue with 512GB and 1TB storage options, compared to a wait time of three to four weeks from September 18. The iPhone 15 Pro Max in Blue with 512TB and 1TB was also available through T-Mobile on September 25, with AT&T and Apple estimating a two to five-week wait period.
Improvements in Mainland China
Demand for the new high-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are seemingly off the charts in Mainland China, with wait times for specific configurations peaking at up to two months last week, with current estimates lower.
As of September 18, Blue and Black models of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were facing delays of up to six weeks in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations through Apple’s Chinese online store. Through Tmall, China’s largest online retailer, estimates were up to a two-month waiting period.
A week later, on September 25, the situation slightly improved. Through Tmall, estimates are now 38 to 45 days for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with Apple’s online store in China still estimating a one-month to six-week waiting period. Apple’s entry-level iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are in stock through Apple directly, with Tmall shoppers facing a 20-day waiting period.
High iPhone 15 Demand
Primarily caused by USB-C, strong marketing for the new titanium material, and features like the thinner bezels and the Action Button are driving demand for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max through the roof. The entry-level models boast several notable new features, including Dynamic Island, 48MP camera, USB-C, and more.
