Vision Pro’s external wired battery pack was previously called “Magic Battery,” which can provide the headset with around two hours of battery life. As uncovered on X in a new round of betas today, Apple is now renaming the battery pack to the “Apple Vision Pro Battery.”
The battery pack connects to the headset with a woven cable, and Apple expects users to carry the battery pack in their back pocket when Vision Pro is in use. The battery pack is just one way users can keep Vision Pro powered, in addition to using the device when it’s directly plugged into power for all-day use.
The battery pack is similar in size to the iPhone MagSafe battery pack and was initially discovered to be called the Magic Battery in August in a tvOS beta.
