Apple announced a new MacBook Pro lineup today, featuring new M3 chips that offer significant performance improvements over the previous generation. The new lineup also includes a cheaper 14-inch model, starting at $1,599.
The new chips offer significant performance improvements over the previous generation and improved graphics performance, with the M3 chip featuring a new GPU with features like Dynamic Caching and hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
The M3 Pro and M3 Max chips also feature improved GPUs, with the M3 Max chip being able to support up to 128GB of RAM. It can provide performance and capabilities for those with extreme workflows like machine learning programmers, 3D artists and video editors.
Cheaper 14-Inch Model
Apple is also offering a new, cheaper 14-inch MacBook Pro model, starting at $1,599. This model is powered by the base model M3 chip, and it comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
New Space Black Colorway
In addition to the new chips and cheaper 14-inch model, Apple is also offering a new Space Black colorway for the MacBook Pro. This new colorway is available for both the 14-inch and 16-inch models.
Availability
The new MacBook Pros are available to order today, and the M3 Pro and M3 Max models will be available next week.
