The ill-fated Touch Bar is officially a relic of Apple’s past as the company just discontinued the last MacBook to carry it: the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro can no longer be purchased from Apple’s online store. Instead, customers can now order the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M3 chip, which effectively replaces the discontinued 13-inch model.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro started at $1,299. It relied on an old design that Apple first debuted in 2016. The 13-inch model was one of the first Macs to receive Apple silicon when it got updated with the M1 chip in 2020. Apple updated it again in 2022 with the M2 chip alongside the redesigned MacBook Air.
