Apple and Sony are collaborating to offer six months of Apple Music subscription for free for users who sign up for the streaming service through the PlayStation 5 gaming console.

To take advantage of the offer, PlayStation 5 owners should have a functional PlayStation Network and Apple ID accounts. Users should then download the Apple Music app on their PS5 consoles, following on-screen instructions to redeem and activate the offer. The deal opens up access to the full 100-million songs catalog of Apple Music with an ad-free experience.

Sony says that the offer can be redeemed exclusively through all PlayStation 5 models, seemingly including the newly available PlayStation 5 Slim, though users will be able to use Apple Music on all other compatible devices after activating it through their consoles. The offer is valid for new and qualifying returning subscribers of Apple Music. The offer is available for users in many regions including the United States, United Kingdom, France, China, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and more.

The offer can only be redeemed once per PlayStation 5 console and once per Apple ID. Returning Apple Music subscribers who qualify for the offer will receive five months of access to the streaming service for free as opposed to six months for all new subscribers.

Sony states that the offer is available till November 15, 2024. After their trial expires, subscribers will be switched to the standard Apple Music Individual plan at $10.99 per month.
