Netflix has no plans to offer a dedicated visionOS app on Vision Pro in time for the headset’s launch, according to a new statement given to Bloomberg.
The streaming service will still be accessible on Vision Pro by using Safari and navigating to its website where users will be able to browse and watch their content through the browser. Netflix also confirmed that it will not port its iOS app to work on Vision Pro, which is an option available for developers who would like to offer scaled-up iPad apps on visionOS instead of redesigning their apps from scratch.
Our members will be able to enjoy Netflix on the web browser on the Vision Pro, similar to how our members can enjoy Netflix on Macs.

With this move, it will be impossible for Netflix subscribers to download content for offline consumption on Vision Pro. Netflix is also apparently giving up the opportunity to develop custom Environments for a more immersive streaming experience, with apps like Disney+ already making use of the feature.
Earlier this week, Apple announced a round of entertainment and streaming apps coming to Vision Pro at launch. These include Disney+, ESPN, MLB, NBA, HBO Max, Discovery+, TikTok, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, PGA Tour, Tubi, Fubo, Peacock, Crunchyroll, Red Bull TV, IMAX, MUBI, and Pluto TV.
Customers will be able to pre-order Vision Pro starting from Friday, January 19, at 5 a.m. PST. Sales will begin two weeks later on Friday, February 2 on Apple.com and all Apple Store locations in the United States.
