Apple may have already sold over 200,000 units of its Vision Pro headset, according to new information sourced by MacRumors from a person with direct knowledge of sales numbers.
The numbers are reportedly accurate until Monday, January 29, 10 days after the headset first went up for pre-orders on Friday, January 19. This echoes a similar sentiment shared by other analysts, including Ming-Chi Kuo who said that the company is estimated to have sold around 160,000 to 180,000 Vision Pro units a few days after pre-ordering went live.
The number will likely accelerate once Vision Pro officially launches in Apple Store locations in the United States on Friday, February 2. Shipping estimates for most configurations of the headset have reportedly slipped to March, reflecting the strong demand.

If the numbers are correct, Apple has made no less than $700 million in revenue assuming most customers went for the entry-level $3,499 configuration of Vision Pro with 256GB of storage. This figure does not include those who opted for the more expensive 512GB and 1TB storage options and other standalone accessories.
Apple reportedly aims to expand Vision Pro’s availability to international markets before WWDC 2024 in June. This may well help the company achieve its goal of shipping half a million Vision Pro units during its first 12 months of availability.
