Apple today released visionOS 1.0.3 to the public for Vision Pro nearly two weeks after seeding the visionOS 1.0.2 update. This is also the first update for visionOS after the market launch of Vision Pro.

The visionOS 1.0.3 update carries the build number 21N333, and allows Vision Pro users to reset their headset’s passcode in case they forget it via a software reset just like other products like the iPhone. The update also introduces several bug fixes.

This update provides important bug fixes and adds an option to reset your device if you’ve forgotten your passcode.

visionOS 1.0.3 release notes

Users who wish to download visionOS 1.0.3 can do so by navigating to Settings -> General -> Software Update on their headset. Apple plans to add the ability to reset Vision Pro’s passcode directly from the device itself with the latest beta release of the visionOS 1.1 update, but that is not expected to be released to the public for a few more weeks.

Before today’s update, users who forgot the passcode to their headset had no other choice than to take it to the nearest Apple Store location to regain access to their devices following a software reset that could only be performed in-store.
