TikTok will soon launch a dedicated app for visionOS and Vision Pro that should enable an “immersive content view” for the popular video-sharing app. TikTok announced its plans today via a post on X.

The spatial app should be available on the visionOS App Store momentarily. TikTok’s newest app iteration is not a port from its iPad or iPhone offerings. Rather, it’s made from the ground up for Vision Pro, featuring the same design elements and aesthetic as visionOS apps specifically made for Apple’s spatial computer.

TikTok joins many video streaming apps on Vision Pro, with entertainment seemingly being the “killer app” for the headset so far with its excellent pair of 4K micro-OLED displays. TikTok’s spatial app is one of over 1,000 visionOS apps released and counting as pointed out by Apple’s marketing chief Greg Joswiak in a post on X earlier this week.

Vision Pro’s suite of entertainment and streaming apps has been steadily growing since its launch. Its app library now includes the likes of Disney+, ESPN, MLB, NBA, HBO Max, Discovery+, TikTok, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, PGA Tour, Tubi, Fubo, Peacock, Crunchyroll, Red Bull TV, IMAX, MUBI, and Pluto TV.
