MacPaw, the developers behind the popular Mac utility CleanMyMac, is launching CleanMyPhone, a new app designed to help users manage and optimize storage space on their iPhones and iPads.
CleanMyPhone builds on the success of Gemini Photos, an app that rose to prominence in the last couple of years to help users manage and declutter their photo libraries. Gemini Photos, like CleanMyPhone, uses on-device processing to identify duplicate photos, screenshots, and photos and videos downloaded from the web.
At the core of CleanMyPhone is Declutter, which scans your entire iPhone library, identifying and grouping unnecessary files such as screenshots, blurred photos, screen recordings, TikTok videos, and more. Starting with iOS 13, the Photos app already uses on-device processing to put your important photos and videos in focus in the Years, Months, and Days tab.

CleanMyPhone goes further by making it easier for you to delete unnecessary photos and videos from your iPhone entirely, rather than just hiding them in sort views. CleanMyPhone also leverages on-AI to make it easier to sort your photos and videos into folders, based on their content.
Users who have used MacPaw’s CleanMyMac will find CleanMyPhone similar in style and design, with the app featuring four tabs: Declutter, Organize, Network, and Settings. CleanMyPhone is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and was previously named Gemini Photos.
