The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to introduce a new Rose color that could replace the current Blue Titanium finish on the iPhone 15 Pro lineup. Apple could also drop the Natural Titanium color in favor of a new gray-like finish, according to a new Weibo post first spotted by the leaker ShrimpApplePro on X.

Per the Weibo post, the iPhone 16 Pro could feature color revisions across the board compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. First, Apple is said to replace the current Blue Titanium finish in favor of a Rose one with a yellowish tint. The iPhone 15 Pro’s Blue Titanium has reportedly failed to capture the attention of most customers, with many of them opting for Natural Titanium instead. Apple doesn’t offer the iPhone 15 Pro in vibrant colors, and the rumored Rose could be the company’s answer.

Another color said to be updated is the Natural Titanium finish, which is strongly inspired by the natural hue of titanium before any processing. Instead, Apple is working on a new gray-like color deeper than Natural Titanium and appears to draw inspiration from the Space Gray finish of the iPhone 6. The Black Titanium color is also said to receive an upgrade in the form of a darker finish reminiscent of the iPhone 14 Pro’s Space Black.

This is not the first time we hear of rumored colors for the iPhone 16 Pro. Earlier, leaker Majin Bu similarly claimed that Apple is readying two new colors dubbed “Desert Titanium” and “Titanium Gray.” Looking a their descriptions, the Rose and Desert Titanium appear to share the same gold-like hue. Titanium Gray and the tweaked Natural Titanium also share similar characteristics, suggesting that ShrimpApplePro and Majin Bu are likely referring to the same set of colors but from different sources.

Apple usually introduces one new finish as the flagship color for every year’s Pro iPhone release. The iPhone 15 Pro saw the introduction of the Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium finishes, replacing the Deep Purple and Gold of the iPhone 14 Pro.

  • iPhone 14 Pro: Deep Purple

Beyond the expected color refresh, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to mostly maintain the same design as its predecessors. This is in contrast to the base iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus devices, which are rumored to feature a new pill-shaped camera bump design.

One important design change for the iPhone 16 lineup is said to be the addition of a new Capture button with support for touch and force gestures for camera control, including adjusting zoom and manual focus. The high-end iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could gain a new Qualcomm modem with support for 5G-Advanced, and a 48-megapixel Ultrawide camera sensor.
