Apple plans to release an iPad version of the Calculator app with iPadOS 18 later this year, according to a new report from MacRumors.
The report doesn’t delve much into what to expect features-wise from a built-in Calculator app on iPad. The report confirms that the Calculator will be available on all iPad models compatible with iPadOS 18. The app will likely feature the same functionality that AppleInsider reported last week is heading for the revamped Calculator on macOS 15. Apple is rumored to introduce a new “Math Notes” feature that interoperates between the Notes and Calculator apps and a built-in history log for results from previous calculations.
The Calculator app on macOS 15 and iPadOS 18 reportedly includes a new tool for unit and currency conversions. These changes could also be in tow for the iPhone with iOS 18, though the smaller display could be a limiting factor for the visibility of some of those features.

A native Calculator app from Apple with iPadOS 18 would check off a highly requested feature from users, coming two years after the company launched a native Weather app for the iPad with iPadOS 16. In all cases, we should get our hands on the iPad’s Calculator app on Monday, June 10 after the conclusion of WWDC 2024’s main keynote, after which Apple will immediately release the first betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, and more.
