Apple Vision Pro has reportedly been approved for a key product certificate in China, a new sign that the headset is nearing its launch in the country, according to South China Morning Post.
The product certificate in question is the China Compulsory Certificate awarded by the China Quality Certification Centre. The certificate’s entry does not explicitly mention Vision Pro, but instead refers to an Apple-branded “wearable computer.” As the report explains, the China Compulsory Certificate is a necessary qualification to assert a product’s safety and quality before it’s allowed to be sold in the country.
The certificate’s entry also shows that the headset was manufactured by Luxcase Precision, a subsidiary of Luxshare which has been previously reported to be the exclusive assembly partner of Vision Pro and one that was visited by Apple CEO Tim Cook last October.

Vision Pro’s imminent release in China was reported yesterday in a separate article by Bloomberg, which explained that Apple has begun flying in hundreds of its retail employees from several countries for training sessions. These sessions are said to teach how to demonstrate Vision Pro to prospective customers, with an international launch said to commence shortly after WWDC 2024.
In addition to China, Apple is holding Vision Pro training sessions for retail employees from Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. Apple CEO Tim Cook also confirmed that China will be one of the first countries to offer Vision Pro after the United States, stating that the launch will occur sometime in 2024.
