Apple’s iMessage service appears to be down for a growing number of users, with messages outright failing to send. Apple’s System Status webpage has not reflected or indicated an ongoing problem with iMessage, but its status is very likely to be updated soon if issues persist.

UPDATE: Apple has now acknowledged the iMessage outage claiming that it has now been fixed. Apple says that the issue lasted for just under an hour and that “users were unable to use this service.”

Issues have apparently affected other services, namely FaceTime, HomeKit, and Apple Messages for Business. According to System Status, all issues affecting all services are now fixed.
