Apple will increase the battery capacity of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, according to a new rumor on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo.
According to the leaker “Instant Digital,” who has often shared accurate information about unreleased Apple products, Apple will equip the iPhone 16 Pro lineup with modestly bigger batteries than their iPhone 15 Pro predecessor. The smaller iPhone 16 Pro will have a battery rating of 3,577 mAh, an increase of over nine percent compared to the iPhone 15 Pro’s 3,274 mAh battery.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max will reportedly feature a battery rated at 4,676 mAh, making it more than five percent larger than the 4,422 mAh battery found on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. As the iPhone 16 Pro series will feature bigger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens, the devices’ physical dimensions will increase, allowing Apple to pack larger batteries than before.
