Apple has reportedly delayed the M4 Mac Studio by several months into mid-2025, reports Mark Gurman in a new article for Bloomberg.
According to the report, Apple originally planned to co-announce the M4 Mac Studio and M4 MacBook Air in early 2025. However, the company delayed the M4 Mac Studio, codenamed J575, for unknown reasons, and is now thought to be revealed between March and June. As covered, the M4 MacBook Air is on track to be released between January and March.
The reason for the apparent delay is unclear, but Apple could need more time to finalize the M4 Ultra chip that will debut on the M4 Mac Studio. The high-end desktop could also be on a two-year release cycle as the latest Mac Studio with the M2 Ultra chip was announced last year at WWDC 2023.
