Mass production of the M4 MacBook Air will reportedly begin soon before launching in early 2025 alongside several new Apple products, according to a new report from Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman.
Per the report, the M4 MacBook Air, codenamed J713 and J715, will maintain the same design as the M3 and M2 models the company debuted in 2022. The M4 MacBook Air is scheduled to be released following a macOS software update in December, meaning a reveal could happen between January and March next year. Like the M3 MacBook Air earlier this year, Apple will announce the 13-inch and 15-inch sizes together.
The M4 MacBook Air could be announced alongside several new Apple products the company has in store early next year. These include the iPhone SE 4, refreshed iPad Air, and base iPad models. Apple is also planning new keyboard accessories for the new iPad models that could take cues from the iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard.

The M4 MacBook Air will debut several months after the first M4 Mac models are set to be announced before the end of October. This includes refreshed iMac and MacBook Pro models and an all-new Mac mini with an Apple TV-like design. The Mac Pro and Mac Studio will receive an upgrade to the tentatively named M4 Ultra chip later in 2025.
