Apple has finally updated the Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse accessories with USB-C ports for charging in place of Lightning, the company announced today alongside the new M4 iMac.
The new Magic Keyboard and either Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad are included with every iMac that Apple sells. All included accessories are color-matched to the finish of the iMac. Beyond the new USB-C port and updated colors, nothing much is different with the Magic accessories.
Every iMac comes with a color-matched Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse or optional Magic Trackpad, all of which now feature a USB-C port, so users can charge their favorite devices with a single cable.

This also means that the Magic Mouse retains the infamous port location on the device’s bottom, meaning that users can’t use the Magic Mouse while charging. The USB-C upgrade spans all iterations of the Magic Keyboard, including models with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad.
With this upgrade, Apple has completed its transition away from Lighting as all of the recent AirPods models, including the new AirPods 4 and the updated AirPods Max, now feature a USB-C port for charging and other uses.
