Apple is targeting an early December release date for the iOS 18.2 update that will bring forward the second wave of Apple Intelligence features like ChatGPT integration and Genmoji, reads a new Bloomberg report today.
In the latest edition of the weekly Power On newsletter, it is said that Apple is considering the release of iOS 18.2 around the first week of December. The anticipated update will usher in more Apple Intelligence features as seen in iOS 18.2 beta 1, including Genmoji for creating custom emojis on the go, and the Image Playground app for generating images from user input.
Also included in the iOS 18.2 beta is ChatGPT integration with Siri for handling world knowledge questions, and the Image Wand that turns rough sketches in apps like Notes into drawn illustrations. iOS 18.2 will also expand the international availability of Apple Intelligence to more regions thanks to English localization in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and New Zealand.

The iOS 18 update will also introduce Visual Intelligence, a feature exclusive to the iPhone 16 lineup. Using Camera Control, iPhone 16 users can point their device’s camera at objects in their environment to learn more about them through ChatGPT and Google Images search.
