Google today released a new update to the Chrome browser on the App Store bringing several new features to its flagship browser on iPhone, with the most notable being the ability to add websites and progressive web apps to the iPhone Home Screen.
With the new Chrome update, users can finally add webpages and progressive web apps of their choice to their iPhone or iPad Home Screen, making it easier to jump directly into websites. Starting with iOS 16.4, progressive web apps on iPhone can send users iOS push notifications like normal apps. Chrome now also supports in-line translation powered by Google Translate by long pressing on the desired text and then selecting “Google Translate.”
