Battery capacities for the entire iPhone 15 lineup have been revealed through Chinese database regulatory filings, as first reported by MySmartPrice.
According to the filings, all iPhone 15 models have marginally larger battery capacities compared to their respective iPhone 14 predecessors. iPhone 15 Pro Max continues to offer the largest iPhone battery capacity, coming in at 4,422mAh. However, capacity increases across the entire lineup are modest at best, with increases averaging about 70 mAh for each model.
- iPhone 15: 3,349 mAh vs iPhone 14: 3,279 mAh (+70 mAh)
- iPhone 15 Plus: 4,383 mAh vs iPhone 14 Plus: 4,325 mAh (+58 mAh)
- iPhone 15 Pro: 3,274 mAh vs iPhone 14 Pro: 3,200 mAh (+74 mAh)
- iPhone 15 Pro Max: 4,422 mAh vs iPhone 14 Pro Max: 4,323 mAh (+99 mAh)
As usual, Apple doesn’t discuss battery capacities on stage nor reveal them on the iPhone’s tech specs page. Additionally, the company didn’t tout improved battery life compared to the iPhone 14 as a new feature with the iPhone 15 as was previously expected with the supposedly power-efficient 3nm process on the iPhone 15 Pro’s A17 Pro chip.

We’ll have to wait for more accurate real-life battery performance tests and comparisons once the iPhone 15 is released next week. Apple officially states that the iPhone 15 lineup has exactly the same battery life as the iPhone 14, with no changes to estimated video and audio playback and streaming figures.
The iPhone 15 series pre-orders began earlier today, with first deliveries set to arrive to customers next Friday, September 22.
