Apple has been labeled as the most lucrative employer in the world for business students, according to a new survey conducted by Universum (via Business Insider).
Universum conducted its survey of over 170,000 students in countries including the United States, Brazil, and China during the period of fall 2022 to spring 2023. As part of the survey, students indicated their desired employer that they wish to land a job with.
Apple was able to retain its position from last year as the top employer that most students seek to be working at. Google came in second place, whereas Apple’s rival Samsung claimed the 20th spot on Universum’s survey. Amazon and Microsoft clenched the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

Tech companies are overall more lucrative for students to be employed at financial institutions, automotive companies, and other sectors. More companies that appeared in the top 20 list include J.P. Morgan, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, L’Oreal, Mercedes-Benz, and Nike.
The survey comes a few days after another one that revealed Apple CEO Tim Cook as one of the most approved and popular CEOs in the US. Cook’s performance as Apple’s chief executive is approved by over 80% of the company’s employees, significantly higher than his peers at Google, Microsoft, and Meta.
