Apple is working on a new smart home camera device in addition to a new AirPods model with more health capabilities that could launch as soon as 2026, reports the reliable Ming-Chi Kuo in a new Medium post today.
Kuo alleges that Apple is working on a smart home camera accessory with wireless connectivity and strong integration with other Apple devices. Mass production of the home camera is set to begin by 2026, and the company hopes to sell more than 10 million units of the new device long-term. The home camera will feature deep Apple Intelligence and Siri integration and is yet another smart home device the company is planning in addition to a smart display and a high-end home device with a robotic arm.
Another product Apple plans is a new AirPods model with expanded health management features. This new model will help the company achieve AirPods shipment of around 68 million when it launches in 2026, a significant growth from this year’s 55 million shipped units. While Kuo doesn’t mention any details as to what the new health features might be, new AirPods have repeatedly been rumored to include a body temperature sensor that would be more accurate than the one found on recent Apple Watch models.
