Apple’s suppliers are set to begin mass production of the iPhone SE camera as soon as December before the device launches early next spring, according to the Korea-based newspaper Aju Business Daily.
Camera modules for the iPhone SE 4 will reportedly be supplied by LG Innotek, which already supplies some camera components for the iPhone 16 lineup. Final verification tests for said camera module are currently underway, which should be concluded in time for mass production next month.
The report notes that LG Innotek usually begins mass production of camera modules three months before their designated device is launched, strongly hinting at a March release date for the iPhone SE 4. This aligns with predictions from most analysts and reporters, which foresee a release date around March or April for Apple’s budget iPhone line.

Apple is expected to supply around 8.6 million iPhone SE 4 units between December and the first quarter of 2025, aligning with the mass production timeline of the device’s camera modules reported today.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be the biggest redesign for Apple’s budget iPhone line since its introduction in 2016. The device will reportedly sport a new iPhone 14-like design with Face ID while nixing the Home button, a 6.1-inch display, and Apple Intelligence support. The device could also be the first iPhone and Apple device ever to feature the company’s in-house 5G modem.
