Apple CEO Tim Cook will reportedly attend the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump next week alongside other top tech executives, according to a new Bloomberg report.
Tim Cook is expected to be joined at Trump’s inauguration with other Silicon Valley moguls, including Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk. This comes following a series of private meetings at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, many of which included Tim Cook, in which the President-elect sought to conjure his vision and plans during his second presidential term.
This wouldn’t be the first attempt by Tim Cook to cozy up to Trump following a tumultuous relationship during his first presidential term. Last week, it was revealed that Cook donated $1 million of his personal money for Trump’s inauguration, with the event expected to raise a record-breaking $200 million in total from all donors.

These moves should allow Apple to enjoy a warm relationship with Trump, especially as it looks to take on numerous international challenges in the European Union and China. A warm relationship with Trump could allow Apple and other American corporations to fend off antitrust lawsuits and hefty fines in Europe, especially those brought on by the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Apple could also navigate an impeding tariff war between the US and China, something it was successfully able to largely avoid during Trump’s first term.
