Apple has today launched a new app called Invites. The Apple Invites app allows users to create and manage custom events, sharing them with friends and family. The app is free for iPhone users through the App Store and iCloud.com as part of the iCloud+ subscription.
Apple Invites is a new way for users to “easily share invitations, RSVP, contribute to Shared Albums, and engage with Apple Music playlists.” While creating invitations is limited to iCloud+ subscribers only, Apple says Invites allows everyone to RSVP, even if they don’t have an Apple device or an Apple Account.
With Apple Invites, an event comes to life from the moment the invitation is created, and users can share lasting memories even after they get together,” said Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud. “Apple Invites brings together capabilities our users already know and love across iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Music, making it easy to plan special events.

Apple Invites comes with a dedicated gallery of backgrounds and wallpapers suitable for every occasion and theme. The app is also tightly integrated with Maps and Weather, so users can easily find the event’s location and forecasted conditions for the day. The dedicated Shared Album allows all invitees to contribute media to the event, while Apple Music integration and collaborative playlists allow guests to curate the perfect event soundtrack.
Apple Invites is heavily integrated with Apple Intelligence, allowing users to tap into Image Playground to create images based on the event’s theme and guests. In addition, Writing Tools empower users to write up the perfect invitation to their events. Hosts have full control of their Apple Invites events, allowing them to view and manage RSVPs, and add addresses to the event’s location. Guests can RSVP via the iPhone app or web without an iCloud+ subscription or Apple Account. They control their details and can leave or report an event anytime.
Apple Invites is available through the App Store as a free app for iPhone devices running iOS 18 and later. The service can also be accessed through the web via iCloud here.
