Apple Music seems to have a bug where people’s playlists are getting replaced with others’ or removed at random, say some Redditors and reported by MacRumors who use the streaming platform. This behavior has been ongoing over the last several weeks as people noticed their libraries being completely wiped out or their playlists replaced by someone else’s.
Apple Music’s ‘Add Playlist Songs’ feature can potentially disrupt a library that now contains playlists made by other users.
This can impact years of custom playlists, and people are unable to access their music they may have collected over years.

Bizarrely, some users say there was music simply added to their library that they didn’t add, without anything being wiped out.
The bug seems to be limited to iOS, and does not seem to be impacting the Mac, Android, or Windows apps. It could be a problem with iCloud syncing. The only solution some Redditor have found is to toggle iCloud sync off and on again, which seems to be restoring their libraries.
There has been no comment from Apple yet, nor any measures to solve it but it may possibly be fixed in the upcoming iOS 16.4 update.
