Apple has pulled back the latest iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 beta 2 builds after widespread reports of devices being bricked during the installation process. The beta builds in question are no longer available to download and install from the Apple Developer portal.

Earlier today, reports began creeping up of iPhones seemingly stuck in a boot loop once they attempted to install iOS 17.3 beta 2. The only way to fix the boot loop and subsequent bricking is by attempting a full restore to either iOS 17.2.1 or iOS 17.3 beta 1.

The problem seems to have affected all iPhone models indiscriminately, including the latest iPhone 15 lineup. It remains to be seen how quickly Apple will release an updated build of iOS 17.3 beta that doesn’t induce the boot loop issue, but other software betas for watchOS 10, macOS 14 Sonoma, and tvOS 17 are still available to download and install.
