Apple is rumored to comprise several changes to Control Center as part of iOS 18, and Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman expects the updates to span the music playback widget and HomeKit appliances controls.
In the latest edition of the weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman expects Apple to tweak some aspects of Control Center with iOS 18. The changes reportedly span the music and media playback controls, as well as unnamed improvements to HomeKit accessories controls.
Control Center has maintained its current design since iOS 11 and the iPhone X, which also changed how the panel is accessed from swiping up from the display’s bottom edge to swiping down from the display’s top right corner. Last year, Apple was rumored to be testing some changes to Control Center with iOS 17 which never materialized.
