Alleged dummy units depicting the new design and colors of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are now making their way onto the internet, with a new set of units showcased in a new leak today by seasoned Apple leaker Sonny Dickson.
Dickson shared images of the dummy units today on X, which depict expected design changes such as a USB-C port and new subtly curved aluminum and titanium edges for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro respectively. As reported earlier and can be seen below, five colors are headed to the base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, including midnight, blue, pink, and yellow. The depicted colors are very faint in nature, in stark contrast to the flashy color palette on prior iPhone generations.
On the other hand, Dickson also provided dummy models depicting the new finishes heading for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. In accordance with previous rumors, the gold and purple finishes are discontinued in favor of deep blue and light grey colors which will join the standard black and white finishes. Other external changes headed for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max include a new “Action Button” to replace the mute switch, and much thinner bezels surrounding the display.
Apple yesterday sent out invitations for its “Wonderlust” event taking place on September 12 to announce the iPhone 15 lineup and new Apple Watch models, so it’s only a matter of time before we get an official confirmation of color options headed to the new iPhones.
