Apple is reportedly planning to release a new high-end iMac in 2025. The premium all-in-one desktop will be equipped with a 32-inch mini-LED display, according to reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In a new post on X, Kuo outlines Apple’s future plans for the iMac. The highly-anticipated refresh to the 24-inch iMac is now set to happen in 2024 as Kuo seemingly rules out any new Macs to be released during the remainder of this year.
Recent rumors and today’s report indicate that Apple is ramping up work on what seemingly is a revival of the iMac Pro. A Bloomberg report in July was the first to state that the company is working on a new iMac size with a display larger than 30 inches, and Kuo’s prediction today confirms claims of what would be the largest iMac to date.

Kuo has declined to mention what chip the purported iMacs will be equipped with, but industry consensus expects the updated 24-inch iMac to be equipped with the yet-to-be-announced M3 chip. The 32-inch iMac could be equipped with Pro and Max variants of Apple silicon.
Despite earlier rumors predicting that Apple would launch the first M3-equipped Macs by the end of 2023, that no longer seems to be the case. Other planned models with the M3 including refreshes to the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lineups are reportedly still undergoing testing, with a prospective launch date between early and mid-2024.
