Apple is preparing the launch of the new Beats Studio Pro headphones, according to 9to5Mac and references to these headphones in the betas of iOS 16.5 and macOS 13.4 released on Thursday.

The headphones will be very similar to the current Beats Studio Wireless but with some aesthetic differences and functionality. According to 9to5Mac, these new headphones will feature Transparency mode, Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), and Spatial Audio. 9to5Mac speculates that the headphones could incorporate the USB-C port.

The Twitter account @aaronp613 posted images of these headphones in the four colors that will be available and found references to them in the beta of macOS 13.4 released on Tuesday. 9to5Mac found references in the iOS 16.4 release candidate, also released today.

The references to these headphones in both betas and the images posted on Twitter suggest that the launch will happen sooner rather than later. Apple is preparing to launch the Beats Studio Buds+, which according to reports, will go on sale on May 18, so the headphones could arrive on the same date.

Apple does not comment on rumors and leaked products, but it is feasible that both headphones from its subsidiary Beats will arrive mid-month. The Cupertino firm has not released new over-the-ear headphones for a while, so these Beats Studio Pro could potentially revive sales or pave the way for a second generation of the highly anticipated AirPods Max.
